ACOUSTIC TRIANGLE 2005 TOUR
THE CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE, NORTHAMPTON
A Northampton Festival event promoted by Audio-B Ltd.
Founded by Simon de Senlis, first Earl of Northampton, to commemorate
his safe return from the crusades - 1100AD, this is Britain's largest
and oldest round church. It is also Northampton's oldest standing
building and is almost identical to the original Church of the Holy
Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The church is used regularly for concerts of
military band music. There is a restoration trust, run by Mr. John
Kightley, which oversees the preservation of this historic building as
well as its concert programme.
